A versatile and beautifully balanced mid-century Ladderax unit by Staples, England, designed as part of the iconic modular Ladderax system of the 1960s.
 
This configuration combines open shelving with two functional cabinet elements, creating a highly adaptable piece that works equally well as a sideboard, media unit, or drinks cabinet. The modular design also allows the components to be used together or separately, offering flexibility across a range of spaces.
 
Crafted in teak, the timber displays a warm, rich tone with a clean, consistent grain, complemented by contrasting black steel uprights. The newly powder-coated frame gives the piece a crisp, refined finish while remaining true to the original design.
 
The layout is both practical and well considered, featuring a larger drop-down cabinet ideal for barware or concealed storage, alongside a smaller drawer unit with open shelving above and below—perfect for everyday use or display.
 
This piece has been fully refurbished in our workshop. The timber has been carefully cleaned and revived to enhance its natural character, all joinery has been checked and secured, and the uprights have been newly powder coated with new feet fitted, ensuring stability and longevity.
 
Presented in excellent condition, this is a functional and highly collectible example of British mid-century modular design—offering both form and flexibility in one considered piece.
