A bold and textural Fat Lava ceramic plate attributed to VEB Strehla—one of East Germany’s most prolific mid-century ceramics manufacturers. Stamped Made in East Germany with the form number 743, this piece showcases the signature volcanic glaze and sculptural surface that defined the Fat Lava movement.
The layered glaze features rich, tactile textures and a deep, earthy palette—hallmarks of Strehla’s work during the 1960s and '70s.
Highly collectable and visually striking, this piece can be wall-mounted or displayed flat as a centrepiece. A fine example of East German modernist design with strong presence and historical character.
