A beautifully proportioned mid-century sideboard by G Plan, bearing the original E. Gomme maker’s mark. Produced in England during the 1960s, this example stands apart from the more commonly seen teak pieces, featuring a European oak veneer with a distinctive, expressive grain.
 
The oak displays a warm, golden tone with subtle figuring throughout, giving the piece a depth and character that sets it apart while retaining the clean, functional design language G Plan is known for.
 
The layout is practical and well balanced, with a central bank of drawers flanked by cupboards on either side—ideal for both dining and living storage. Slim tapered legs and simple geometric handles complete the design, offering a light and understated presence.
 
This piece has been fully refurbished in our workshop, including restoration of the veneered top and a complete refresh of all surfaces. The timber has been carefully revived to highlight the natural grain, and all joinery has been checked to ensure long-term structural integrity.
 
Presented in excellent condition, this is a versatile and increasingly uncommon example of G Plan design in European oak.
