A custom-built bookcase designed and constructed in-house, drawing on the principles of mid-century furniture design. The piece reflects a focus on clean lines, balanced proportions, and honest materials, while incorporating traditional joinery techniques for long-term durability.
 
Crafted from crown cut teak veneer on plywood, the grain has been carefully selected to create visual interest across the surfaces. The structure features dado and dowel joinery, with a fixed central shelf and full backing board providing additional rigidity and strength.
 
The bookcase sits on tapered legs made from solid beech, imported from the UK—adding a subtle mid-century profile while ensuring strength and stability.
Edges are finished with teak veneer banding, and the entire piece is treated with Osmo hardwax oil to enhance the natural tone of the timber while offering protection for everyday use.
