Poul Cadovius Modular Danish Sideboard inTeak

A rarely seen Modular Sideboard consisting of a triplet of cabinets designed by Poul Cadovius for Cado. 
 
These have a beautiful grain configuration and gorgeous inset finger pulls. Two cabinets with sliding doors and height adjustable shelving and a single cabinet with double doors that open to a deep cabinet with a single height adjustable shelf. 
 
These low sitting cabinets are set on their original teak stands and feature visible finger joints.
 
What we love about the design is the versatility of the piece. You can place the cabinets around your living rooms, combine two or three depending on your desired lenght of Sideboard. Regardless of where you move to in the future, you can rearange these to suit your particular needs and space.
 
Overall excellent condition - a qaulity construction from Teak veneer timber. All mechanims work well, frame and legs sit sturdy.  Minor signs of use and repair, see photographs.
 
Poul Cadovius (1911-2011) was one of the most successful designers in the history of the Danish furniture industry. He originally qualified as an upholsterer but showed an interest in design at an early age. He later set up his own furniture/manufacturing firm Royal System in 1945. Three years later, he designed his iconic shelving system which was created to leave more space in rooms.
