One of the earliest reclining chair designs from the arts and crafts movement. 
 
The design was adapted by William Morris's firm, Morris & Company, from a prototype owned by Ephraim Colman in rural Sussex, England. It was first marketed around 1866.
 
The Morris Chair has been around since the 1860s. The design and popularity has endured because of its exceptional comfort and timelessly enduring design.
 
It is a very versatile chair – great as an armchair or sofa, casual chair for a patio or meeting chair in your office.
 
Built from one of the finest timbers in the world – Zambezi Teak, formerly known as Rhodesian Teak.
 
Featuring a hinged back, with three adjustable back positions to maximise comfort. the wide armrests are the perfect spot to rest your cuppa in the morning or your glass of vino in the evening. 
 
Excellent vintage condition, upholstered by previous owner in a gorgeous velvet savanna fabric.
 
Structurally sound, very solid frame and upholstery and foam inserts in very good condition.
