Midcentury Avalon Three Seater Sofa in Forrest Green
A gorgeous 3 seater lounge sofa from the early 1960’s from Melbourne company, Avalon Furniture. We love the simplicity in design combined with the subtle sophistication and deliberate use of texture.
This sofa features a solid Australian blackwood frame with beautiful geometric panel arm inserts. A quality piece of furniture with original web configured sprung framework and reinforced joints. The design and construction provide supreme seat-comfort and durability.
Very solid, sturdy construction made to last a lifetime. Overall excellent vintage condition with minimal signs of use. Recently reupholstered in Warwick fabric - Verona Celadon, a gorgeous textured fabric with green and beige and brown woven thread. Upholstery in near new condition with no stains or damage.
* Washing/ cleaning of the loose cushions is easy, the un-upholstered armrests means your lounge looks better for longe. Great investment piece, sculptural solid timber frames are rarely made anymore and increasingly harder to find.
