Niels Bach is a long-established Danish workshop founded in 1919. To this day, a small team of around ten skilled craftsmen continue to produce furniture with great care and attention to detail. The company is particularly known for its use of solid teak in tables and cabinets. While there are also pieces made from rosewood and oak, teak remains the most commonly used timber.
 
Despite their small size, the workshop produces furniture that is meticulously crafted down to the smallest detail. Known for its durability, refined design, and soft, warm aesthetic, Niels Bach furniture continues to be highly regarded.
 
Historically, most manufacturers used veneer when producing tables and cabinets. However, Niels Bach was known for creating many pieces using generous amounts of solid (solid wood) material.
 
This coffee table was made in the 1960s and features richly grained solid teak. It has the soft, rounded charm typical of Niels Bach’s work, with a distinctive base where the legs cross at the centre—showcasing graceful curves and gentle detailing.
 
The teak’s characteristic vibrant camel hue and the table’s subtly curved form give it an irresistibly tactile and inviting appearance. The smooth texture and warmth of the wood offer a calming, grounded feel.
