Mid Century Custom Made Tallboy / Chest of Drawers in Teak
A spectacular piece of Mid Century cabinetry!
Recently acquired these gorgeous drawers from the original owners who had them custom made in the 1960s. It was with a heavy heart that they had to part with them, and we were quite tempted to keep them for ourselves!
A rare find, these are not your average chest of drawers. Made from quality materials and exceptional craftamanship. These have a solid timber frame, mortise and tenon joinery, gorgeous curved lip pull handles in solid timber with a golden teak veneer finished frame.
Ample storage in this one! Two smaller sock/ knicker drawers up top and four deep and wide drawers that could take a consierable amount of clothes. Definetly deep enough for your wooly winter jumpers.
A sizeable tallboy/ chest of drawers and would make the ideal companion for a nursery. It is the perfect height and depth to serve a double purpose of storage and cganging table.
Near perfect vintage condition, the drawers were lined and show no signs of aging, they glide open and the structure is solid. It sits beautifully on tapered legs. Small imperfections, but these are hardly noticeable.
Please note this is a substantial piece and we would advise removing the drawers before moving this item.
