One of the most iconic Australian furniture brands from the middle of the century, Danish Deluxe was founded in 1958 by Neville Ashkanasy,  John Westacott and Borg Gjorstvang. 
 
Danish Deluxe was a Melbourne furniture design and manufacturing company, operating from Huntingdale Victoria.
 
Stronlgy influenced by Scandinavian design, DDL designed inhouse and under license whilst also commissioning leading local Australian Designers, including George Kral and Max and Maggie May. DDL also manufactured the Grant and Mary Featherson "Talking Chair MKII".
 
A uniquely designed table that offers a range of possibilities. The compact circular table top extends with a wide butterfly extension leaf, turning this 4 seater into a 6-8 seater. Perfect to get the family together at Christmas!
 
The sleek design with the signature style bentwood pedestal base that is characteristic of the Danish Deluxe brand. 
 
What we love most about this table is the pedestal-base. The pedestal-base means the legs of the table do not dictate where you place your chairs and allows you to seat more people then you would with a standard frame and leg design. 
 
Lastly, the slight contrast between the base and the table top, allows you to match either teak or oak chairs with this table. 
 
Condition: Excellent vintage condition with minor imperfections and minimal signs of wear. Lovingly restored and refurbished by our inhouse team.
