MCM Danish Rosewood Bookcase

A rare Danish beauty made from Brazilian Rosewood.
 
With upper open shelving and closed cabinet space below. The interior of the cabinet shows several pull-out drawers on one side and open shelving on the right.
 
Drawers move smoothly and the piece offers limitless storage configurations, with eight adjustable shelving above and one below.The bottom shelves are also deep enough to comfortably fit records.
 
Below you have two beautiful Rosewood cabinet doors with lock that swing open to repsent two tidy cabinets ech with a felt lined pull out drawer. To the right you have a large open cabinet with a remobavle half shelf. To the left you have handy stoage drawers that could be removed should you wish to use the space for something else. (we kept the original labeling to preserve something of its past life)
 
The design of the cabinet and the style is very similar to that of Poul Hundevad but no visible makers mark with this one.
 
This cabinet is a rich, warm colored Rosewood timber with an intricate and lively grain. Features adjustable shelving above and below, two drawers with dovetail joinery, and original key.
 
In excellent vintage condition with only minor wear and no major faults to mention. (See pictures and close ups for details)
 
*Rosewood has been added to the endangered species list and has become increasingly harder to find due to this status.  It is known as one of the densest and hardest timbers, and for that reason a sought after timber.
