Møbler MCM DanishTeak Credenza/ Highboard
Børge Morgensen attributed highboard in teak with frame & legs in oak. An elegant Danish piece from Mid Century Modern design.
This is an interesting piece to say the least. Lovely simple lines and stands on a 40cm elevated base with six square tapered solid oak legs.
The double doors open up to a large and deep storage cabinet with two height adjustable & removable shelves. These shelves could easily fit crockery, books or records.
To the right you have a drop down cabinet with a half shelf and four felt lined trays. The drop down cabinet has multiple purposes. This could be a tidy storage space for cutlery or a bureau/ desk or even a drop down drinks cabinet. Below that you will find three tidy drawers that glide open.
Immaculate and beautifully restored by our team. Solid timber edging, dovetailed joinery detail and two original keys. Small 'birth mark' on the top and we replaced the drop down hinge with a qaulity gas stay. Orignal keys for both cabinets.
Makers mark Møbler in Denmark - you can call it a credenza/ highboard/ sideboard or drinks cabinet - we call it the Meryl Streep of furniture.
