J. McCain Furniture Mid Century Sideboard in Teak

Australian made Sideboard manufactured by well renowned Sydney Furniture maker J. McCain  (visible makers mark and date stamped 1967).
 
Founded in 1926 by James McCain and now spanning 4 generations, J. McCain Furniture manufactured in the 1950 - 60 were strongly influenced by Scandinavian design. This beauty is constructed from teak veneer timber with a golden glow and solid timber insert pull handles and sits on tapered legs. This piece will not dissapoint!
 
This well designed sideboard has ample storage and comes with four vertical doors and two tidy drawers. The cabinets to the left and right are deep and high, and could comnfortably fit your records or drink bottles. The centre cabinet has a removable half shelf and offers plenty of storage for your wares. Two tidy drawers, one with cutlery tray. 
 
Restored and the top has been freshly refinished, hand sanded and new top coat applied using our favourite natural hard wax oil - Osmo Oil. (Good for humans and good for the planet). Overall excellent condition, all mechanisms work beautifully and the frame and legs are sturdy.
