Framed Abstract Artwork by Soledad Galván - "PARANA"

Parana is the named after the of the second-longest river in South America.
 
In Soledad's own words she desribes the river and her memories as follows: "It means a lot to me; the summer, my cousins, my family, my grandparents, mosquitos, eating fish next to it, the sand, some huge awesome parties and it means as well those times that won't come back in the same way. Vegetation surrounding this river and the sun going up or down is just stunning."
 
Soledad beautifully captures the beauty along the river and the playfulness and innocence of her youth.  
 
This piece is vibrant and her useof colour and texture creates a piece that 'comes alive'. It's not often you find a piece of art that feels like it's juming out of the wall!
 
The work is made from Acrylic on strected canvas with a floating frame (frame included in price).
 
 
About the Artist:
 
Soledad was born in Patagonia, a windy, dry and cold area in Argentina. Her mother, who was a plastic artist, cultivated her passion for art from a very young age. When Soledad was younger her family moved around a lot, due to the nature of her father's work. As a result she has found a lot of inspiration from ever changing her surroundings. She has since travelled to numerous destinations around the world and lived in Argentina, London, Colombia and now Australia. 
 
We are truly honoured that Soledad has allowed us to showcase her work and sell this beautiful piece via our online store. We particularly love her abstract work. Her brush strokes are amazing and her use of colour is inspiring.
 
Soledad's abstract work is layered and textured, and she would often work on a particular piece of art for 2 to 3 weeks to get the desired results.
