Fully restored Mid Century Armchair in Blackwood Circa 1950/60
A truly magnificent piece of Australian design that combines elegance and comfort.
We love the curve of the arms and the choice of darker timber for the armrests against the lighter frame. The beautiful curves of the frame lightly embraces the chair.
Made in Australia by Avalon furniture (original makers mark visible), the solid Blackwood frame has been restored and refinished to its original glory and reupholstered in one of our favourite choice in fabrics - The Fern.
The foam cushioning has been replaced with a sculpted back and high density seat that will last another lifetime.
Exceptionally comfortable design, the perfect lockdown armchair for those long days and even longer nights. Very solid construction made to last a lifetime.
